Tint Design's Path to Sustainability: Achieving Net Zero Progress

In today's world, sustainability is paramount. At Tint Design, we're committed to implementing sustainable practices into aspects of our operations. We're excited to update you on our journey towards achieving net zero emissions by 2030 and developing a more eco-conscious future.

Installing Solar Panels

In April 2024, Tint Design took a significant leap towards sustainability by investing in solar panels on our building premises. This forward-thinking initiative is projected to dramatically change our energy consumption, potentially reducing our energy usage by up to 82% . By harnessing the power of the sun, Tint Design not only aims to reduce operational costs but also strives to shrink their carbon footprint.

Installing Solar Window Film

In addition to solar panels, we've incorporated TDS240 Solar Window Film into our building's windows. This innovative addition helps us retain heat in colder months while minimising UV exposure and glare. The outcomes are compelling: glare reduced by 83%, UV exposure by 98%, and overall solar energy absorption decreased by 80%. These measures not only boost our energy efficiency but also create a more comfortable and sustainable workplace environment.

Implementing Categorised Bins

We've also implemented categorised bins throughout our workplace to streamline waste management and promote recycling. By segregating waste at its source, we're reducing our environmental impact and diverting more materials from landfills. We've also matched this with internal education about methods to reduce landfill and ways to go paperless.

Innovative Products

We're continuously exploring and adopting innovative sustainable products. Our recent focus has been on transitioning from PVC to non-PVC materials, starting with our wallpaper range. Through rigorous research and testing, we ensure that these alternatives meet our stringent standards for durability and longevity while aligning with our environmental responsibility. In addition, we are working with suppliers to reduce our omissions from manufactured products.

Forming a Sustainable Committee

Additionally, we've formed a Sustainable Committee, meeting monthly to discuss programs and objectives aligned with our sustainability goals. This fosters collaboration and ensures that our initiatives remain dynamic and responsive to evolving environmental challenges.

Current Sustainable Goals

Currently, a major priority for Tint Design is developing a strategy to moving to Hybrid vehicles each year over the next 5 years until electric becomes for affordable or Hydorgen enters the market. By phasing out conventional vehicles and embracing energy-efficient alternatives, Tint Design aims to proactively contribute to a greener future while optimising operational efficiency.

From reducing energy consumption to minimising waste and embracing eco-friendly materials, we're dedicated to making a positive impact on the planet.

We have much to do in a short space of time and we look forward to working with our supply partners to reduce our manufactured footprint.
